Registering a .travel domain name is a two step process. All registrants must first be authenticated by an Authentication Provider
Once their eligibility is confirmed the registrant will be sent a Unique Identification Number, which is their proof of eligibility.
The registrant will next need to send a mail at admin@adgrafics.net with the domain list,
the contact details and the Unique Identification Number. You can only register a name that is publicly used by, or associated with, your organization
The top-level .travel Internet domain is part of the next generation of restructuring and reorganization of the Internet along industry verticals. .travel gives travel and tourism businesses and organizations the opportunity to be www.company.travel instead of www.company.com.
The .travel TLD is intended to serve the global travel community. .travel is restricted to people, organizations, associations, and private, governmental and non-governmental agencies in the travel and tourism industry. The registrants are not limited to, but may fall within, the industry types set out in the table below, which is provided only as a list of illustrative categories and types, and not as a restriction of the general eligibility requirement.
The Registry may establish stricter requirements for registrants by published policy statement.
The Registry may extend the list of industry types from time to time by published policy statement, provided that any such
extension is consistent with the travel community's perceptions about the prevailing scope of the community as evidenced by
the support of such extension by the travel industry as communicated to TTPC and the Registry through its policy outreach
procedures.
The Registry may amend, clarify, extend or re-enumerate the industry sectors identified above, provided that such changes are within the scope of the requirement set out in item 1.1, above. In such event the Registry will promptly make such changes public in the manner contemplated in its agreement with ICANN.
Since .travel domain names are authenticated, they provide an enhanced level of trust for the consumer. The customer knows that your company has been validated as a legitimate supplier in the travel and tourism industry.
As the holder of an authenticated .travel domain name, you will be part of an exclusive sales and marketing channel. The profile of your company and its products will be maintained in a robust and secure database, and through this profile, you will be promoted to users when they utilize the new search.travel and directory.travel Web based search utilities. Your .travel domain name will get preferred placement in search results strictly as an entitlement to registering and deploying your dot-travel URL, without added costs.
Over 28% of on-line transactions are travel related, and over 200,000,000 searches a month are performed specifically for travel related services and products. Your domain name is an asset that should be owned by you as a channel for the message that you want to deliver to the traveling public.
Unlike ".com", ".org", ".net" or the other top-level domains available on the Internet today, .travel is an industry-sponsored, industry-exclusive top-level domain, which means that only travel organizatons who go through an authentication process can get a .travel name insuring that all .travel web sites are held by legitimate travel organizations.
Only valid travel and tourism entities are represented in the dedicated .travel web space, which supports small and large tourism companies alike. The .travel domain ensures that companies with .travel Internet addresses are bona fide and, through its vetting and authentication system, eliminates "cyber squatters" and domain name speculators.
In addition:
- .travel's unique search engine www.search.travel enables targeted searches that yield trustworthy results from verified travel providers, establishing a stronger, more reliable level of trust between our industry and customers.
- www.search.travel is build with a destination and travel category architecture giving consumers focused destination and travel information; and gives travel organizations a destination and category centric tool putting them in front of consumers at the exact moment that they are looking where an organization is or what it is offering - true one-to-one marketing
Already, thousands of companies are protecting their identities by registering their .travel domain name, and going thru the .travel authentication process to receive the travel and tourism industry's 'travel authenticated' global mark of legitimacy to give consumers peace of mind when doing business on line

Consumer Access to The .travel Directory of Authenticated Travel Providers
- Search.travel is a Web based search engine that is optimized for the research of travel information and products. Since the .travel directory will have a detailed profile for each travel service supplier with a registered .travel domain name, searches performed by the consumer will result in the display of a more qualified and relevant result than would be possible using a standard search engine.
- Authenticated .travel URL's resulting from a search of the .travel directory, will receive preferred placement on the search results page, and will be clearly labeled as Authenticated.
- Search results will be displayed with an option for a hyperlink directly to the service providers booking engine.
- Every service provider with a registered .travel domain name (and .travel profile entry) will directly benefit from the search.travel consumer awareness campaign to be launched in the third quarter of 2006.
- Search queries on search.travel will also result in a qualified search of the entire World Wide Web, with search results from the .travel directory getting priority placement. This will ensure that search.travel will be the only place a consumer needs to go for research of travel and tourism information, products, and services.
- As the .travel directory grows, the consumer may wish to only search for authenticated travel information from the .travel directory. We are currently developing Directory.travel which will provide only .travel directory results.
